CONTEXT
In a world saturated with cutting-edge technology, it’s easy to overlook the visionaries behind some of history’s most groundbreaking inventions. International Women’s Day presents a perfect moment to recognize the brilliant women whose ingenuity and perseverance have shaped our modern world. By celebrating these figures, we not only honor their contributions but also inspire future generations to break boundaries and champion gender equality.
THE IDEA
To celebrate three pioneering women—Hedy Lamarr, Mary Anderson, and Fatima Al-Fihriya, UN Women will release a special edition of illustrated posters. Each poster will capture the unique journey, achievements, and resilience of these women, sparking a renewed appreciation for their impact and creating a platform for conversations about gender equality and the importance of women’s contributions to society.
EXECUTION
We created illustrated posters, each poster serving as a mini-biography that beautifully captures the lives and achievements of these trailblazing women. Through art and storytelling, the posters highlight their personal and professional journeys, the challenges they faced, and the enduring impact of their inventions. The campaign was launched across digital and print media on the eve of International Women’s Day, reaching audiences worldwide and inspiring girls and young women to pursue their dreams without limits.
